On top of Earnhardt’s Infield Parking, a social networking website of sorts, just like MySpace or Facebook, there is a new social networking website dedicated to NASCAR fans

RaceMySpace.com was launced September 12, 2008 as a place for fans “to network, chat, share race pictures and videos from the racetrack, search for and sell race tickets, talk smack, and make new friends. Race fans can also customize their own web pages and show off the colors of their favorite drivers.” as quoted by Yahoo.com.

The website was created by John “Captain Thunder” Nevins. According to his website, he has been reporting on the sport of NASCAR and appearing on radio networks such as ESPN Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, XM Satellite Radio, and Fox Sports Radio. He can be heard weekly on “The Bubba the Love Sponge Show” on Sirius Satellite Radio, “The Scott Ferrall Show” on Sirius Satellite Radio, and on various ESPN Radio affiliates. He is also a featured guest on independent radio stations across the country.

I have some good news, and some bad news.

Trying to look like Dr. Evil’s wife?

Good News: For the first time in a long time, I’m in a great mood. The boyfriend left the house to go fishing for the night and I get to sit at home in front of my real love, my laptop, and watch my other love…NASCAR. My night couldn’t get any better…unless of course I have a Bud Light in my hand. My bills are caught up for now, and I have a little bit of funds leftover to do some shopping. I’m probably going to buy my NASCAR Day Pin.

Bad News: Once bills were caught up and I got ready to buy Eldora Speedway tickets, they were sold out. I’m a little sad about it, but I dont think this is the year that I was meant to go to my first race. Maybe next year? By then, I will be on my first year at my job, getting close to getting some student loans paid, and hopefully financially stable enough to afford the road trip on 5 billion dollar a gallon gas prices. I will keep checking online to see if anything opens up, but until then, my first race experience is just not in the cards this year.

I have been watching qualifying and practice all evening, I will write out some recaps in the next post. I have a few web projects on my plate and it’s a little overwelming. I’ve been doing a lot of promoting of this site seeing that content wise, I’m satisfied right now. Please leave comments what you think of the site so far, I love feedback.

Mahn! For a girl that practically watches race more than she goes to church, you’d think that I was a little more common sense. When I registered this website a little over a month ago after blogging and making websites since the tender age of 15 I should of known this rule above all else.

NASCAR is a trademark. When I sold Avon, I couldn’t have the name “Avon” is my email address or even make a website with the name in it. Same rule would apply to this website. Therefore the whole Lady and the NASCAR WWW address will have to be changed.

So why did I not think about this when I bought the domain name?

I didn’t. I’m not real sharp when it comes to the whole thinking thing. I personally blame it on being a Receptionist for the past year and a half and thinking was not really a requirement for me. Granted, I have been at this new job of mine for a little over three months, my brain is still asleep. I’m trying very hard to still wake it up.

Or maybe my boyfriend was right and I was a blonde in a past life? I kind of like this option better, that puts me in the running as the ideal candidate to be a NASCAR girlfriend. I’ve seen the gossip sites! I’ve got big boobs too; does that get me bonus points?

Anyways, my laptop is broke so I might not be very productive with this website for a few days but I will brain storm on web addresses to get that doesn’t break the law.

If you have read my old blog before, welcome to my new home, different approach, same decorations. If you have not been to my old site, I hope you enjoy your stay here if you are a race fan. I have been writing so much lately that I thought one website could not hold my creations. And it just deemed appropriate because “NASCAR” is the top keyword on my personal site. Most of my old entries with that keyword will be transferred here as it relates to the site.

What made me come to a decision that I was going to make a motorsports related blog? There isn’t that many out there; at least there is not that many out there geared towards woman. I googled until my fingers fell off and I still only found a few blogs from women expressing their interests to something that is considered a “man’s sport” I wanted to be a part of that small statistic. 40% of NASCAR fans are women! Where are all of you in this vast world wide web? (Besides writing NASCAR Girlfriends Gossip sites, I could never do that, I have too much of a guilty conscience.)

I was considering making a message board too once everything gets a little more established. I’d love to hear some comments, suggestions or squeals of delight? I have always been interested in teaching myself how to set one up on the world wide web, but I never found a topic or purpose to make one.

I should have much more content up by the end of the week with my old posts being published here. It’s funny to go back and read my old online entries and find out how I really felt at NASCAR when I first started watching it. What a change!
