Monologues of a Female NASCAR Fan with a touch of Hormonal Rants and Raves.

Friday Night Track Lights

I have some good news, and some bad news.

Dr. Evil's Wife

Trying to look like Dr. Evil’s wife?

Good News: For the first time in a long time, I’m in a great mood. The boyfriend left the house to go fishing for the night and I get to sit at home in front of my real love, my laptop, and watch my other love…NASCAR. My night couldn’t get any better…unless of course I have a Bud Light in my hand. My bills are caught up for now, and I have a little bit of funds leftover to do some shopping. I’m probably going to buy my NASCAR Day Pin.

Bad News: Once bills were caught up and I got ready to buy Eldora Speedway tickets, they were sold out. I’m a little sad about it, but I dont think this is the year that I was meant to go to my first race. Maybe next year? By then, I will be on my first year at my job, getting close to getting some student loans paid, and hopefully financially stable enough to afford the road trip on 5 billion dollar a gallon gas prices. I will keep checking online to see if anything opens up, but until then, my first race experience is just not in the cards this year.

I have been watching qualifying and practice all evening, I will write out some recaps in the next post. I have a few web projects on my plate and it’s a little overwelming. I’ve been doing a lot of promoting of this site seeing that content wise, I’m satisfied right now. Please leave comments what you think of the site so far, I love feedback.

Rumor Mongrel

Apr 22, 2008  Filed under: General, Women In Racing

I am very eclectic with my tastes in music. For the most part I like to listen to the same Top 40 radio station when I’m at work. I do however call my Monday’s “Country Day” because I tune into the local country station for their Monday show features. One is a feature for the local animal shelter which is a strong cause I believe in and the other is the NASCAR insider report by Lance McGrew.

Lance McGrewLance McGrew works for Hendrick Motorsports in the “speed” department as the DJ’s put it. I have seen Lance a few times while a race was airing, mostly during the Nationwide Series races. He will step in to crew chief some drivers when needed. I literally tune into this country station to listen to his recaps on Mondays.

I really like Lance’s personality. The DJ’s there actually call him the “Rumor mongrel” because if the DJ’s hear a rumor and they want to know the story behind it, they will ask Lance. Lance is fearless when it comes to answering these questions, which is what I love because no matter how bad people want to deny it, rumor’s spark curiosity in people and they always want to know more. So why bother hiding it?

Danica Patrick's 1st Indy WinI have to personally admit, I do not watch much race series past NASCAR, but for the empowerment of women everywhere  I must report that we have a stronger hope for women in the racing world.

Danica Patrick won her first Indy race in the Japan 300 this past weekend. This is a first victory for a female in Indy Racing history. Now for a Spice Girls moment…

“GIRL POWER!”

I would love to see this girl dominate in the cup series. I love my NASCAR boys, but anytime there is a woman dominating a man’s sport and I can almost guarantee, men hate when that happens, and I sleep better at night knowing that women have one up on men! It’s honestly about time, and if we can have a woman running for president, we can have a woman racing in NASCAR with the big boys proving the old time saying that women can do anything a man can do.

Teenybopper for Tony

Apr 20, 2008  Filed under: General, Life, Tony Stewart

It’s kind of bad when your father, who has no interest or desire to watch a race asks you if you’ve seen the new Tony Stewart Armor All Commercial. Does that mean I am slacking? Or is my father sparking a curious interest in racing and wants to remain in the closet? Hhhhmmm…

There was no race this past weekend, and the weekend before that I was out Saturday night for a friends birthday (inebriation) celebration when they aired the night race, so this so-called Tony Stewart commercial could have been playing and I just genuinly missed it.

Oopsie!

Apr 7, 2008  Filed under: General, Website

Mahn! For a girl that practically watches race more than she goes to church, you’d think that I was a little more common sense. When I registered this website a little over a month ago after blogging and making websites since the tender age of 15 I should of known this rule above all else.

NASCAR is a trademark. When I sold Avon, I couldn’t have the name “Avon” is my email address or even make a website with the name in it. Same rule would apply to this website. Therefore the whole Lady and the NASCAR WWW address will have to be changed.

So why did I not think about this when I bought the domain name?

I didn’t. I’m not real sharp when it comes to the whole thinking thing. I personally blame it on being a Receptionist for the past year and a half and thinking was not really a requirement for me. Granted, I have been at this new job of mine for a little over three months, my brain is still asleep. I’m trying very hard to still wake it up.

Or maybe my boyfriend was right and I was a blonde in a past life? I kind of like this option better, that puts me in the running as the ideal candidate to be a NASCAR girlfriend. I’ve seen the gossip sites! I’ve got big boobs too; does that get me bonus points?

Anyways, my laptop is broke so I might not be very productive with this website for a few days but I will brain storm on web addresses to get that doesn’t break the law.

Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Kissing Your Butt Goodbye

Apr 5, 2008  Filed under: General

I rarely watch qualifying or practice sessions for the Sprint Cup or Nationwide Series. I had just walked in the door from going across town with my boyfriend to pickup his daughter for the weekend and decided to turn on the TV.

Alas, it was on the Speed Channel and this was replaying a gazillion times:

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

You’d think after a crash like that, the rookies head would literally stuck up in his butt. Nope.

Michael McDowell walked out of the race car without any injuries, probably not even a scratch or limp either. But watching a video like that just has to make anyone’s stomach turn. God must of pee’d holy water on that rookie after a wreck like that.

After I found out he was OK, I had to ask,

“Who completly total’s their car like that during a qualifying run?”

“He run’s for Michael Waltrip Racing” my boyfriend explained.

Michael Waltrip Racing? Nuff said.

He’s a Race Girl

Apr 2, 2008  Filed under: General, Nationwide Series

I feel sorry for Kertus Davis. He is a Nationwide Series driver that drives the #01 Race Girl car.

Yes, I said RACE GIRL.

The boyfriend and I were watching the Nationwide Series race two weekends ago in Tennesee and the camera panned in on him a few times and at the same time we both turned to each other and I asked,

“Did his fire suit say ‘Race Girl’ on it?” I lean into the TV to make sure I was seeing things right.

“I think it did…” he sounded almost as perturbed as I did.

Sure enough poor Kertus’ fire suit said RACE GIRL right across the chest. That’s his sponsor and that’s what’s on his race car. Talk about whacking a man’s manhood right off.

WHACK, WHACK, WHACK! DOUBLE WHACK!

They paned in during the National Anthem at him again and his arm was strategically placed across his chest to cover up the entire logo. Smooth move Kertus, save a little bit of that manhood!

I Google searched “race girl” today out of sheer boredom and curiosity, I almost pee’d my pants when I saw the picture of that poor man standing next to that pink car.

On the upside, I did find some cute Race Girl shirts I might consider buying.
